Based on a minimonitor constructed by Lars Ohlsson of ElektroAkustik & Music. It was originally thought for a two-piece amp (amplifier + PSU), but I made two complete monoblock amplifiers. Originally this was supposed to become a GU50-SE, but a few "accidents" made me rapidly steer the project to become a 6550SE.
The amplifier became my workhorse for a few years when I suddenly realised that it sounded very dull and lacked som smack.
A simple check revealed that the custom ordered transformers weren't really capable of deliver nor the voltage nor the current for the tubes. That was the end of the amplifier. Transformers were sold, but the big Hammond output transformers are still in my possession and will be used in a future project involving the Russian GU72 tubes.
